Job Description
Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Regional Discipline Leader who will be responsible for the professional, technical, management, marketing, administrative and financial aspects of our Construction Engineering & Inspection Discipline in Florida. This individual will direct and manage Geographic Discipline Leaders within the region.
Responsibilities
• Provides leadership, managerial direction and guidance for the region to achieve established goals.
• Directs overall productivity, profitability, client satisfaction and quality of work.
• Responsible for discipline marketing and business development.
• Actively involved in the cross selling of all company services.
• Responsible for billings and collections.
• Works with the geographic discipline leaders on resource sharing and staffing needs.
• Responsible for regional training and staff procurement and development.
• Monitor staff utilization regularly and take corrective action if necessary.
• Complies with and ensures others compliance with all CED policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Health and Safety Program.
• Travels (via car or airplane) regularly to the various regions and offices.
• Ability to procure and maintain business with FDOT Districts, Water/Wastewater Districts, CFX, GMA, Counties, Cities and Municipalities.
Qualifications
• 20+ years of transportation construction experience.
• Valid US Driver's License required.
• Bachlors Degree in related field (Construction Management or Civil Engineering).
• Prior FDOT experience is required.
• Experience managing teams required.
• Leadership skills & decisive decision making.
• Comfortable with using computers and adapting to software.
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors on a project site for extended period.
• Strong mathematics skills.
• Great communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
