Branch Manager - Commercial Roofing - Miami, FL

Gryphon Oakwood are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to oversee and manage the daily operations of a growing commercial roofing division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial roofing construction, a strong background in operational leadership, and the ability to drive efficiency and quality across multiple projects and teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and optimize the operational performance of the commercial roofing division.

• Ensure the efficient and high-quality completion of all projects, delivered safely and within budgetary constraints.

• Develop and implement effective operational strategies and procedures.

• Lead and manage project teams.

• Continuously monitor key performance indicators to drive improvements.

• Ensure the successful execution of roofing projects in accordance with contract terms.

• Manage financial performance, including budget development and cost control.

• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction.

• Lead and develop operational staff.

• Ensure strict adherence to safety and regulatory compliance.

• Identify and implement innovative solutions and best practices.

• Work in various environments and travel to project sites.

• Maintain flexibility for non-standard working hours as needed.

• Ensure all operations comply with OSHA standards and other relevant regulations.

• Promote a culture of safety, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.

• Manage risk and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

• Provide training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for staff.

• Conduct performance evaluations and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the roofing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior operational leadership role.

• Extensive knowledge of both commercial and residential roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.

• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale roofing projects and leading diverse teams.

• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in project management software and other relevant technologies.

• OSHA certification and other relevant safety training.
