Mechanical Engineer

In full expansion, the diversity of our projects makes our versatile and dynamic team focused on personalized service to our customers. dIREKTION 360 is currently looking to fill the position of Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) in its office located in Sunrise, Florida.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate should be self-motivated and have attention to detail and an initiative to deliver high quality technical designs for buildings. The candidate will be responsible for leading the design of mechanical systems for residential, commercial and educational buildings, including but not limited to:

• Produce contract documents (engineering drawings, specifications, reports…) ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards.

• Perform system design calculations, heating and cooling load calculations, and energy calculations.

• Design of HVAC systems including all associated details, risers, schematics and specifications.

• Select HVAC equipment.

• Mentor and train designers / junior engineers.

• Attend to virtual and site meetings with clients, design team and contractors.

• Assist in Construction Administration tasks, including technical review of RFIs and shop drawings, field reviews and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in designing mechanical systems.

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the mechanical applicable codes.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, load & energy modeling software, and MS Office (Excel, Outlook and Word).

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working.

• English proficiency is a must (Spanish is a plus).

• Professional Engineer License in the State of Florida (preferred).

• REVIT knowledge is a plus.
