Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE
Reporting to the Dispatch Specialist, the Mine Dispatcher & Operations Supervisor is focused on supporting safe and productive crew operations through supervision of personnel and/or the dispatching system.

• Work with Mine Technical Services, Mine Operations, Mine Maintenance Planning, Mine Maintenance Execution, Dispatch Team, Radio Users, IT Team, Processing Operations
External:
• Empire Technology
• Communication with all that enter and exit the pit.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Position will allow for a combination of field supervision and dispatching depending on crew/company needs.
Field Supervision
• Berm heights in working areas
• Drill productivity
• Drilling Targets Execution
• Following Dump Designs (not overdumping)
• Following Dump Plans
• Getting people onto appropriate equipment as needed
• Minimizing bottlenecks/issues at crusher
• Pit dewatering system operation
• Pit floor quality
• Quality of Dump Sets
• Shift change efficiency
• Supervise ancillary
Dispatching
• Cleanup Files and bench lines on loading units to ensure not over digging
• Communicating Maintenance Plan Priorities and Changes
• Ensure there are no inconsistent cycles by the end of a shift
• Getting the right cleanup files on equipment
• Getting the right patterns on drills
• Maintaining a good quality mine model
• Maintaining and auditing MineStar system day-to-day
• Make sure correct ore control is on loading units
• Minimizing queue time on trucks
• Minimizing wait to dump time
• Monitoring Pit Slope Stability Radars
• Technology system reporting issues
• Tracking up and down time of dewatering system and pumps
• Behaves in a way that demonstrates support of Capstone's Core Values
And Other Duties As Required
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
• Quick learner with proactive mindset.
• Mindset of continuous improvement.
• Experience with MineStar or similar fleet management system.
• Basic network understanding and experience.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Key Competencies / Skills
• At least 3 - 7 years of mining operations experience.
• Excellent communication, analytical, management and problem-solving skills are required.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to speak, comprehend, read, and write English fluently.
• Prior exposure to mine dispatching software and hardware is preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• This role is generally 50% office environment and 50% field environment.
• Must have ability to stand and walk for short durations, including walking up and down stairs and across uneven surfaces.
• Must have ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, and squat, occasionally in confined spaces.
• Role will be a combination of days and night shifts on a 7 x 7 schedule.
