Financial Specialist

"The Financial Specialist Apprenticeship Program is designed to prepare apprentices to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Apprentices will also be prepared to check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

This program leads to a career pathway that combines college coursework, mentoring, and on-the-job training. Apprentices will learn key responsibilities and skills required to perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Upon program completion, apprentices will receive an Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion and will earn a College Credit Certificate in Accounting and Budgeting.
