Process Engineer - LSR Injection Molding - Base Salary to 115k/year - Miami, FL
• Our client is a growing medical manufacturing company seeking a Process Engineer with expertise in Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) injection molding. This role will lead process development, optimization, troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment. The Process Engineer will work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to improve manufacturing performance, product quality, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) injection molding processes.
• Troubleshoot complex molding, process, equipment, tooling, and quality issues using data-driven problem-solving techniques.
• Improve manufacturing performance through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Support new product introductions, process validations, equipment installations, and manufacturing scale-up activities.
• Develop, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, process documentation, and process control systems.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, and Engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Lead engineering projects, establish timelines, track milestones, and communicate project status to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and manufacturing best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators, technicians, and junior engineering personnel.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) injection molding within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, molding machines, tooling, molds, process controls, and automation systems.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, and root cause analysis methodologies in a production environment.
• Experience supporting process development, optimization, troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, technical troubleshooting, project management, and process improvement skills.

• Base salary in the 100k - 115k/year range plus bonus opportunity.
