Job Description

"The Construction Preapprenticeship program prepares individuals to enter a short-term training program that leads to a rewarding career pathway. It combines college coursework, mentoring, and paid wages ($14-$15) per hour. Preapprentices receive free tuition, Free books, and health insurance while on-the-job training. During classroom instruction, participants will learn OSHA safety, blueprint reading, tool usage and other trade skills for a job in construction. Upon program completion, apprentices will receive a nationally recognized Certificate of Completion, with the opportunity of earning an industry recognized credential.


The Plumber Preapprenticeship in construction is a 1-year program designed for persons who would like to learn about installing, repairing, and maintaining, pipes, valves, and drainage systems. Students in this program receive instruction in basic plumbing knowledge, safe workplace practices, proper use of plumbing and power tools, and how to install a variety of piping and plumbing fixtures.
