Job Summary:

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Admissions Systems and Data Support, the Business Analyst plays an integral role in the management and oversight of all day-to-day technical support and technology needs, supporting Admissions and Admissions Operations in Panthersoft and ImageNow processes, security access, and all electronic processes. Supports the installation and maintenance of end-user systems.

• Provides desktop support for university computer equipment to Admissions Operations personnel. Installation of hardware and software and maintenance patches.

• Works with Assistant Director and all staff and utilizes project management system to track and monitor projects and their status.

• Works with representatives from Admissions, Admissions Operations or academic units to gather requirements and develops project plans.

• Helps manage the technology needs of the department and recommends purchases for computer hardware/software.

• Supports Centralized Application System loads on weekly basis.

• Adheres to best business practices of the Admissions Systems and Data Support and that they are executed in a professional and timely manner.

• Monitors production and troubleshoots issues, providing possible technical solutions, and interfacing with the Admissions development team during all phases of product development/enhancement.

• Produces needed reports and queries. Performs testing for conversions and upgrades. Reports technical glitches to Supervisor.

• Tests PantherSoft production fixes and performs ad hoc data loads.

• Processes security access requests from across the university for Admission roles.

• Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.



Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in related field.
