What Product Management Is Like At Gusto
• We’re looking for high-autonomy, entrepreneurial Product Managers to come build high-impact solutions for small businesses and their employees. We believe in high-ownership Product Managers who operate like business owners - owning an entire roadmap end to end and shipping product all the way from strategy through to the nitty gritty details (some describe this kind of role as a “GM” type role).

We craft financial tools designed to empower individuals paid through our platform, offering them greater control, increased confidence, and more money from every hard-earned paycheck. As critical contributors to Gusto’s rapidly evolving financial services offerings, we sustain and expand multiple product lines geared towards enhancing our customers' financial lives by making a tangible difference in how people manage and perceive their finances.
Here’s What You’ll Do Day-to-day
• Ownership: Develop and communicate a clear product vision aligned with business objectives. Lead initiatives to streamline product development processes and reduce time-to-market while maintaining quality.
• North Star: Drive user confidence and trust by delivering a stable and seamless product experience that is built on top of robust integrations, efficient operations, and a comprehensive risk program.
• Collaborate: Collaborate with stakeholders across departments including Engineering, Risk, Operations, Legal and Compliance, Finance, and Design to align product goals with business strategies, key product metrics, roadmaps, and performance reports.
• Integration Management: Technical aptitude to dive into the details of financial services providers with engineering partners to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Oversee the integration of new technologies and third-party services to enhance product functionality and user experience. Ensure seamless API integrations and partnerships that support our product offerings
• Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies to mitigate financial and operational risks
• Partner with the Risk team to help deliver a comprehensive risk management framework tailored to our fintech products
Here’s What We're Looking For
• 3+ years of direct Product Management experience in Fintech, preferably with deep knowledge of fintech platforms
• Proven track record in leading product development from conception through to launch
• Including knowledge of financial markets, regulations, and fintech ecosystem
• Entrepreneurial, driven, passionate about our mission, and have deep empathy for our customers
• Worked with mission-critical financial service providers to deliver cohesive product experiences
• Strong strategic thinking with a keen analytical mindset
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to navigate complex technical environments and integrate various systems

Our cash compensation amount for this role is $134,000/yr to $166,000/yr in Denver & most major metro locations, and $163,000/yr to $201,000/yr for San Francisco, Seattle & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
