Materials Stockroom Supervisor
Aircraft Engine MRO | Onsite role in Miami
Are you experienced in stockroom or materials management within a fast-paced, regulated environment? This is an excellent opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role overseeing all daily operations of a busy materials stockroom that supports critical production schedules for aircraft engine maintenance.
The Role
As the Material Stockroom Supervisor, you will lead the stockroom team and ensure the efficient, accurate, and compliant handling of aircraft parts, tooling, and consumables. You will play a key part in keeping production running smoothly by maintaining proper material flow, coordinating with operations teams, and upholding stringent aviation quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily stockroom operations including receiving, storage, issuing, and returning materials and tooling
• Lead, train, and schedule stockroom staff to support production deadlines
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolutions
• Coordinate material availability with production, operations, engineering, and quality teams
• Monitor shelf-life items and handle traceable, serialized, and hazardous materials in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Drive improvements in material flow, space utilisation, and operational efficiency
• Support internal, regulatory, and customer audits
• Ensure full compliance with FAA, EASA, AS9100 and company quality standards
• Maintain a safe and organised working environment
What You'll Bring
• 35 years' experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or materials management role (aviation/MRO experience strongly preferred)
• Previous supervisory or lead experience
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities
• Working knowledge of FAA material control requirements and industry standards
• Proficiency with inventory systems (Quantum preferred) and Microsoft Office
Preferred
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
• Experience managing materials in a high-value inventory environment (c. £10M+)
