Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Middle School Math Teacher with Robotics role based in Miami, FL. The teacher will plan, deliver, and assess standards-based math lessons for middle school students, with a focus on building strong foundational skills in areas such as pre-algebra and algebra. Daily responsibilities include designing engaging instruction, differentiating for diverse learning needs, managing classroom behavior, grading assignments, and providing timely feedback to students and families. The role also includes developing and facilitating robotics activities or clubs, integrating basic coding, engineering, and problem-solving concepts into hands-on projects. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues on curriculum alignment, participate in professional development, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture that promotes STEM learning.



Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Mathematics and Algebra, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and scaffold learning for middle school students.

• Experience or training in Middle School instruction and Mathematics Education, including effective classroom management and age-appropriate pedagogical practices.

• Skills in Curriculum Development, especially in creating or adapting math and robotics/STEM units that align with standards and promote critical thinking.

• Interest and experience in Robotics, coding, or STEM enrichment activities, including guiding students through hands-on projects and competitions.

• Relevant teaching certification or eligibility for certification in Mathematics or Middle Grades Education, as required by Florida regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.

• Ability to use educational technology, learning management systems, and data to inform instruction and support student progress.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with a commitment to inclusive and equitable classroom practices.
