What You Will Be Doing

• Deliver adaptive reading workshops that develop foundational skills in phonics, comprehension, and fluency using cutting-edge AI tools

• Design personalized motivational sessions that connect with individual students and cultivate lifelong love of reading

• Analyze real-time student progress data to continuously refine your approach and surface actionable insights for breakthrough results

• Collaborate directly with our engineering team to evaluate and enhance AI literacy tools based on classroom observations

• Lead small-group interventions that maximize learning velocity through our proven 2-Hour Learning methodology

• Following scripted lesson plans or one-size-fits-all curricula that ignore individual student needs

• Managing large classroom discipline issues or administrative paperwork that pulls you away from instruction

• Teaching without data - you'll have real-time insights into every student's progress and challenges

• Working in isolation - you're part of a collaborative team focused on measurable literacy outcomes

• Settling for incremental progress when breakthrough results are achievable

Reading Tutor Key Responsibilities

You are responsible for accelerating reading proficiency in early elementary students through data-driven, AI-enhanced instruction that delivers measurable breakthrough results in our innovative 2-Hour Learning model.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent structured literacy approach)

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students with documented results

• Expertise in assessing reading levels, strategic student grouping, and designing differentiated instruction without reliance on pre-written curricula

• Proficiency with AI/adaptive learning tools and ability to respond dynamically to student behaviors and data within these systems

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship requirement

• Commitment to work on-site at one of our campuses: Lake Forest (Orange County), CA; San Francisco, CA; Miami, FL; or New York City, NY

Working with us

This is a Full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
