Our travel bag/accessory licensee client is seeking a Passionate Product Designer to join their team on a full-time basis. Ideally, this person will be local to South Florida area for occasional meet ups.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a Creative Director, designing on your own a wide range of travel bags/accessories for 6 large retail brands
The Ideal Product/Industrial Designer
• Will be passionate about designing for Travel Products and shopping the market
• Experience in product design /product development/tech packs - ideally in the Travel industry (Hard side/soft side luggage or Handbag or soft goods experience; understanding of how bags/luggage are constructed)
• Strong understanding of color
• Experience working with overseas factories is a plus
The Product/Industrial Designer Will Be Responsible For
• Designing for a variety of hard/soft luggage/handbags/ soft goods travel accessories
• Creating renderings, handling color, material, construction, etc
• Prints/graphics ; recolors /repeats, setting up art files for factories, creating graphics/repeats
• Designing bellybands, packaging, etc
• Creating Tech Packs and working with overseas factories
• Send samples of renderings, packaging and/or tech packs when applying
• Confirm you are local to South Florida
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
