Founding AI/LLM Engineer – Healthcare Compliance

Company Overview

Harnham is partnering with a healthcare leader using AI to streamline medical documentation and ensure compliance with CMS, HIPAA, and coding regulations. They seek a Senior AI/ML Engineer with expertise in NLP, Machine Learning, and healthcare compliance to build AI solutions for automated compliance checks and documentation accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop AI Models: Build NLP models to analyze clinical notes for compliance.

• ntegrate Compliance Rules: Implement HIPAA, CMS, and coding regulations into AI tools.

• Optimize NLP Pipelines: Improve NER, medical code validation, and documentation audits.

• EHR Integration: Embed AI models into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

• Ensure Data Security: Establish privacy, security, and ethical AI protocols.

• Collaborate with Experts: Work with medical coders and compliance teams.

• Lead AI Strategy: Define and scale AI initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s or Ph.D. in CS, ML, NLP, or related field.

• 5+ years in AI/ML, with healthcare or regulatory compliance focus.

• Strong NLP expertise (BERT, BioBERT, GPT, LLaMA, etc.).

• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face.

• Experience with FHIR, HL7, and EHR systems.

• Knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), CMS, HIPAA.

• Experience in clinical text processing and AI-driven audits.

• Entrepreneurial mindset to drive AI initiatives.

• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
