Job Summary


The Parking and Transportation Department is currently seeking a Temporary Driver CDL to join their team of professionals.


Duties Include:


• Operates shuttle buses and department mini-vans between FIU Campuses (BBC, Engineering) and university housing units.

• Operates clinic buses (Mammogram Bus and Clinic Bus)

• Assists with event transportations for all FIU Campuses when requested.

• Removes loose debris and containers from floors and seats of buses/vans to ensure a safe and clean environment.

• Responds to customer inquiries and/or complaints related to transpiration services in a courteous and efficient manner.

• Inspects vehicles before trip on a daily basis for damage. Fuels bus at the end of their shift.

• Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the Manager from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to ensure transportation requests are completed. Ability to work occasional evenings, and weekends at locations outside of the University.

Minimum Qualifications


CDL License, A or B Passenger Endorsement


2 Years experience in driving shuttle buses


High school diploma and two (2) years of appropriate experience in public safety; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and/or vocational/technical training. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience.


Work Schedule


• 2:30pm - 11:00pm

• Flexible upon operation need
