Data Scientist

Required Skills:

2+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist

Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in data analysis, modeling, and production-level workflows

Demonstrated experience with machine learning techniques, including model development, evaluation, and deployment

Working knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics

Familiarity with Power BI for data consumption and interpretation (dashboard creation not required)

Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries for data extraction and analysis

Experience working with structured and semi-structured datasets in cloud-based data environments

Exposure to enterprise-scale data platforms and operational data sources

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders

Bachelors degree in IT or related field

Desired Skills:

Experience with computer vision, including analysis of CCTV or video-based data sources

Prior experience within the energy or hospitality industries

Masters Degree in an IT related field

Description of Role/Responsibilities: Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Data Scientist with strong Python and machine learning experience to support advanced analytics at our enterprise client. This role will focus on developing and applying data-driven models, including CCTV-based computer vision solutions, within a cloud-based Azure environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Synapse, is comfortable using SQL for data analysis, and can work effectively with Power BI for data interpretation. Experience supporting data initiatives within the energy or hospitality industries is a plus.
