Job Description

Job Summary:

This local construction family (General Contractor) are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee the construction of a mid-rise multifamily project in Miami. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully completing large-scale projects on time and within budget.



Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Management: Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.

• Site Supervision: Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is performed to the highest standards.

• Quality Control: Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and quality standards.

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage the construction team, including subcontractors and laborers. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective performance.

• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, including delays, material shortages, and technical challenges.

• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and regulatory authorities. Provide regular updates on project progress.

• Documentation: Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including contracts, permits, and inspection reports.



Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role overseeing large-scale projects, or large multi story parking garages with retail ground floor.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred - Not Essential to apply.

• Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools.

• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
