Boats Group is excited to expand our US Accounting team and is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our accounting and finance team, you’ll report directly to the Accounting Manager and play an integral role in shaping the success of our organization. What You’ll Do

• Assist in month-end close process for the company; prepare monthly general ledger journal entries; prepare financial statements/analyses; ensure all deliverables meet established deadlines and GAAP compliance with all financial transactions

• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities; identify trends/anomalies; research management inquiries; provide solutions to meet business needs

• Prepare monthly account reconciliations; ensure proper supporting documentation and timely resolution of all discrepancies

• Participate in the annual audit process and compliance reporting for federal, state, and local taxing and regulatory agencies

• Establish and implement procedural and process changes necessary to improve accuracy and efficiencies across the accounting department

What You Should Have

• Bachelor’s in Accounting and 2+ years of relevant financial experience (including internships)

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work through complex problems and implement effective solutions

• Superior Excel and communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis

• Strong business acumen is a must, as well as strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with ability to draw conclusions based on data

• CPA preferred

• We are a hybrid organization with team gatherings in our Brickell office from Tuesday to Thursday every other week. At this time, we are unable to offer relocation assistance.
