Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Collections Vendor Manager to oversee and optimize our relationships with third-party vendors in the collections space. This role is responsible for managing external collections agencies, overseeing the debt settlement program, coordinating debt sales, and managing relationships with data and analytics providers. The ideal candidate has strong experience in vendor management, collections strategy, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage relationships with third-party collections agencies, ensuring performance and compliance standards are met.

• Lead regular performance reviews and drive strategy adjustments to improve recovery and efficiency.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for external collections partners.

• Manage relationships with debt settlement companies (DSCs) and ensure adherence to internal policies and industry regulations.

• Monitor settlement performance and collaborate with internal teams to ensure optimal customer outcomes and recovery rates.

• Develop policies and frameworks that support a scalable and compliant settlement strategy.

• Oversee monthly debt sale processes including portfolio segmentation, pricing strategies, and buyer selection.

• Maintain strong relationships with a network of debt buyers, ensuring compliance and maximizing value.

• Manage all due diligence, documentation, and post-sale reporting requirements.

• Collaborate with data providers and analytics vendors to support collections strategies and enhance decision-making.

• Evaluate new tools, technologies, and vendors that can improve collections performance or customer experience.

• Ensure data integrity, privacy, and vendor compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in collections, vendor management, or related fields.

• Strong knowledge of collections strategies, operations, and regulatory requirements (FDCPA, CFPB, etc.).

• Experience managing debt settlement and/or debt sale programs preferred.

• Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and external partnerships.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

• Experience with data-driven decision-making; SQL or analytics tools proficiency a plus.
