Job Description
Join our expanding Safety Department in South Florida as a Safety Manager, where you'll be at the forefront of managing and coordinating safety requirements for complex commercial building projects in Miami. You'll play a pivotal leadership role, guiding both staff and subcontractor trade partners to construct projects safely while embodying the core purpose and values of the company.
Responsibilities
• Implement safety culture initiatives.
• Assist, plan, and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and DOT.
• Work directly with project teams to develop and implement jobsite-specific safety programs.
• Coordinate emergency procedures and provide general safety oversight.
• Review premobilization documents related to safety prior to trade partner mobilization.
• Conduct site safety inspections and coordinate corrections with trade partners and internal teams.
• Communicate frequently with the Safety Director to report jobsite status.
• Track and report safety-related metrics to internal and external team members.
• Conduct incident investigations to determine causal factors and remedial actions.
• Develop and deliver safety-related training, including new hire orientation, weekly toolbox talks, and general safety awareness training.
Essential Skills
• Experience managing safety efforts on large construction projects ($10 Million+).
• Bachelor's degree in a Safety-related discipline is a plus.
• CHST certification preferred.
• Current OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• Experience with construction industry software such as Microsoft Office, Procore, Primavera P6 Scheduling, Drone Deploy, MS Teams, Viewpoint/Vista financial software, and Blue Beam editing software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with traditional construction industry software.
• Ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
Work Environment
The Safety Manager will report to the Project Manager on their assigned site, working on projects. The role involves on-site work with exposure to various weather conditions and may require regional travel between company locations and jobsites. The position demands physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
