Surveyor - Marine Construction
This position is for a position in the Bahamas, 6 month contract specializing in precast concrete works. Managing the placement of pile caps, deck panels, and as built records.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting precise measurements and assessments of land, structures, and marine environments to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulations. The Surveyor will play a crucial role in various construction projects, providing timely and accurate data to assist in planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed land and marine surveys to determine property boundaries and site conditions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, maps, and reports for project documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure survey data aligns with project requirements.
• Utilize advanced surveying equipment and technology to gather precise measurements.
• Analyze survey data and provide recommendations for construction projects related to precast concrete and deck panels.
• Conduct 'As Built' surveys to verify the completed work against initial plans and specifications.
• Inspect pile caps and other structural elements to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Surveyor in construction and marine environments.
• Strong knowledge of surveying instruments and software applications.
• Familiarity with precast concrete and deck panel construction processes.
• Experience with 'As Built' surveys and reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Hourly rate is between $50-65/hour depending on YOE
