Description
Works directly with MRMD and Senior MRSO to implement and maintain MRI Safety Officer Program. Documenting, and introducing safe working procedures for the MR environment. Provide department MRI Safety orientation, training and initial assessment for new hires and re-hires. Ensures that adequate written safety procedures, work instructions, emergency procedures, and operating instructions are issued to all concerned. Active role in MRSO Program Committee, MRI QAC Committee and MRI Clinical Specialist Committee. On an annual basis, will provide MRSO portfolio to MRSO Committee. See Attached. Refer to MRSO portfolio. Estimated pay range for this position is $40.11 - $52.14 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications
Degrees:
• High School, Certificate, GED, Training, Experience
Licenses & Certifications
• ABMRS Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer.
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Certification.
• Basic Life Support.
• ARRT Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Additional Qualifications
• Graduate of an approved AMA Council of Education program in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging - ARRT (R) (MR).
• MRSO Certification.
• CPR (BLS).
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as MRI Technologist or MRI Clinical Specialist.
• Must complete and maintain the MRSO Program Requirements to be considered for MRSO.
• Final approval of candidate selection must be obtained by MRSO Committee.
• Committee to consist of one (1) Senior MRSO, two (2) Administrators, and one (1) BH MRMD.
