Job Summary

The ARC Applied Research Center is currently seeking a Temporary AI Engineer to join their team of professionals.

Duties Include:

• Design, train, and optimize computer vision models for tasks such as image classification, object detection, and visual reasoning.

• Develop and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) for multimodal applications integrating text and visual data.

• Implement data pipelines for collecting, preprocessing, and annotating image-text datasets to support model training.

• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to build scalable vision-language systems leveraging transformers and foundation models.

• Evaluate and interpret model performance using advanced metrics, ensuring robustness, fairness, and efficiency across use cases. Experience with Python programming is a must.

• Stay abreast of developments in generative vision models, LLM-based reasoning, and multimodal AI to improve system capabilities

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in the field; or technical certification or associated degree.

Desired Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent with 2 years of experience or MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
