Market Analyst

ALCES Asset Fund is seeking a Market Analyst (Junior–Mid Level) to support our global investment operations. This is a unique opportunity to join a hedge fund with headquarters in Barbados and a U.S. presence in Miami, while working remotely from anywhere across the Americas (United States, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean). The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with flexibility to travel and openness to potential relocation in the future.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis of U.S. and Latin American markets

• Support investment thesis development and portfolio monitoring

• Build and maintain valuation models and analytical dashboards

• Assist in the preparation of investor reports and market insights

• Collaborate with senior team members on multi-asset strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel required

• Expert-level proficiency with Bloomberg Terminal, including pre-screening, Eurekahedge, and Hedge Fund Intelligence functions

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of data analytics languages or tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL)

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Spanish proficiency preferred

• Integrity, discipline, and commitment to long-term value creation

• Ability to travel internationally and willingness to consider relocation based on performance
