We are looking for a Housekeeping Manager to join the re-opening of the famed Delano Miami Beach.
Set to open its doors in early 2026, Delano Miami Beach will fuse historic charm with contemporary luxury, reflecting a reimagined experience that pays homage to the original visionary concept. Comprising 171 rooms and distinct food and beverage concepts, the hotel will preserve its iconic walk-in pool and, in addition, unveil a new pool on an amenity deck, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. Delano Miami Beach will act as the brand's flagship location, re-establishing Delano as a trailblazer in luxury lifestyle hospitality. Ennismore, in partnership with Cain International (the owners of Delano Miami Beach as well as partner in the Delano brand), are currently undertaking a significant renovation and redevelopment of the iconic Delano hotel.
Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the general guidance of the Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeping Manager assists in ensuring day-to-day operations while providing training, coaching, and counseling to all housekeeping employees. Ensure that all guests are provided quality service and a clean and safe environment throughout their stay, while efficiently managing expenses and maximizing service levels.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Respond to all guest requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents presented through reservations, comment cards, letters and/or phone calls using all of Delano Core Values. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all housekeeping personnel per the company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a regularly scheduled cleaning program (i.e. floor care, hard cleaning, mattress flipping, etc.) and maintain a detailed checklist for each position.
• Assist in maintaining and controlling all housekeeping equipment
• Assist in ensuring compliance with all corporate Risk Management standards
• Assist in conducting monthly guest supplies and cleaning supplies inventories
• Develop employee morale and ensure training of housekeeping personnel
• Inspect rooms daily, and ensure that some rooms are inspected with supervisors daily
• Ensure that public areas, guest rooms and back-of-house areas are cleaned to the company standards.
• Assist in maintaining required pars of all housekeeping and laundry supplies by ordering all needed supplies and amenities on a monthly or quarterly basis
• Assist in conducting monthly and quarterly housekeeping inventories on a timely basis
• Ensure guest privacy and security through correctly following the company procedures
• Monitor work orders and submit them to Engineering according to hotel procedures. Follow up on work orders to ensure completion
• Conduct pre-shift meetings for room attendants and houseperson
• Respond to emergency situations using information contained in MSD sheets. Keep MSD sheets current and easily available
• Balance and clear room status nightly; compare the p.m. housekeeping report with the PMS room status report and resolve any discrepancies
• Assist in preparing employee schedule per business forecast, payroll budget guidelines and productivity requirements
• Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
• We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.
• We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
