Electrical Engineer (MEP)

We are working with several Architects and MEP Consulting Firms in the greater Miami-Fort Lauderdale area seeking Electrical Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers.

Our client is hiring candidates with various levels of prior experience designing Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm, and/or Low Voltage Systems with a preference for candidates with 3+ years of experience who are on track to become a professional engineer;

Typical projects include healthcare, mission-critical, science/technology, educational, government / federal, retail / hospitality, and commercial / mixed-use residential.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

• Competency in a wide array of design functions including equipment selection; system sizing; load calculations; product specifications; design layouts for electrical systems

• Proficiency in preparing electrical design calculations, develop drawings, formulate technical specifications, and create technical reports for review and submission

• Able to conduct field audits, survey existing conditions, and recording information about building components, including lighting, switchgear, motors, and other electrical equipment

• Demonstrate the ability to research and apply building code, energy, regulatory, and industry code requirements

Key skills and abilities needed for the positions are:

• Skill in the use of AutoCAD, REVIT, SKM, AGI32 and Bluebeam;

• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.

Education and Certification requirements are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering;

• EIT / PE license a plus"
