We’re seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and smooth operations across our supply chain. This role works closely with vendors, purchasing, logistics, warehouse, and production teams to uphold standards and resolve issues quickly. Key Responsibilities - FSVP Program: Maintain vendor documentation and ensure FDA compliance, flagging issues to purchasing when needed. - Incoming Container QC Documentation: Track open international purchase orders, coordinate quality paperwork before arrival, and issue regular QC reports. - FDA/USDA Holds: Review release notices, update system status, and manage detained or rejected shipments to expedite resolution. - Receiving Program: Collect and inspect batch samples, complete QC and metal detector reports, and ensure accurate SAP entries for warehouse and production. - Vendor Sample Verification: Evaluate vendor samples for quality and record findings consistently. - Claims Management: Investigate customer and vendor claims, document evidence, analyze root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders. - Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate records, perform statistical analysis, and submit timely reports to executives. - Microbiology Oversight: Review analytical test results, assure accuracy of SOPs, assist in validation processes, and approve deviations or investigations. - Operations Support: Work with colleagues to resolve quality and compliance issues, serve as backup for raw material/component release, and perform additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications - Fully bilingual: English and Spanish - At least 2 years of experience in quality control, food safety preferred. - Experience in manufacturing and production scheduling preferred - Strong organizational and documentation skills. - Proficiency in SAP and Excel. - Ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors. - Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Debe ser físicamente capaz de levantar, empujar, jalar o mover al menos 50 libras. Descripción del trabajo: La responsabilidad principal de esta posición es asegurar que el producto sea recibido, almacenado, procesado y enviado de manera oportuna y eficiente. Esta posición también será responsable de cargar/descargar camiones, mantener los niveles de inventario y tareas generales de almacén.
