The Role

As ALEXIS expands its focus on Non-Apparel categories—including handbags and footwear—we are seeking a Product Developer to help shape and scale this growing business with precision, artistry, and operational excellence.

Reporting to the Head of Non-Apparel, this role is responsible for managing the full product development and production lifecycle, from concept through final production and delivery of salesman samples. Based at our Coral Gables headquarters, this position is highly collaborative, detail-driven, and fast-paced, with opportunities for international travel to vendors and partners.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge of accessories with exceptional organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for luxury craftsmanship. This role plays a critical part in bringing ALEXIS accessories collections to life—ensuring design integrity, quality standards, timelines, and commercial objectives are met at every stage.

What You'll Do

• Partner closely with Design and the Head of Non-Apparel to translate creative concepts into beautifully crafted luxury handbags and footwear

• Manage and support the full development and production lifecycle, from concept through final production

• Track and manage development and production calendars to ensure all milestones and deadlines are achieved

• Prepare, maintain, and update all development documentation, including Tech Packs, BOMs, specs, sample trackers, and material libraries

• Generate, update, and color CADs to support design and development needs

• Set up, manage, and maintain all styles and records within the PLM system

• Track sample requests, deliveries, approvals, and revisions across multiple international vendors

• Communicate daily with vendors to maintain development progress, quality standards, production status, and timelines

• Provide clear, actionable feedback on fit, construction, materials, and workmanship

• Assist with material sourcing, component development, and color approvals

• Monitor product costing and support margin optimization while maintaining design integrity and quality

• Maintain detailed records of approvals, revisions, and production changes

• Anticipate and proactively resolve development or production challenges to ensure on-time delivery

• Prepare materials for fittings, design reviews, and internal presentations

• Support cross-functional communication between Design, Production, Merchandising, and Operations

Who You Are

• 3-5 years of experience in product development and/or production within handbags, footwear, or luxury accessories

• Strong technical understanding of accessories construction, materials, and development processes

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (including CAD creation and coloring); Photoshop a plus

• Experience creating and managing BOMs, Tech Packs, specs, and development documentation

• Experience working with PLM systems preferred

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

• High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

• Luxury industry experience strongly preferred

• Italian language proficiency a strong plus

• Willingness to travel internationally as needed
