Are you a detail-oriented legal billing professional who enjoys working closely with attorneys and making sure billing runs smoothly? We're looking for a Billing Specialist to join a collaborative, fast-paced accounting legal team where your expertise truly makes an impact.
In this role, you'll be a key partner to attorneys and legal staff, ensuring accurate, timely, and client-compliant billing while contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do
• Handle monthly billing for assigned attorneys from start to finish.
• Review and edit pre-bills to ensure accuracy and compliance with client guidelines.
• Prepare and finalize invoices based on matter-specific instructions.
• Process write-offs in accordance with firm policies and approval requirements.
• Maintain client and matter billing rates tied to engagement agreements.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to answer billing questions and create reports.
• Provide pre-bills and updated time entries upon request.
• Support department initiatives and special projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
• 5+ years of legal billing experience in a fast-paced law firm environment Am Law 200 preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Aderant billing software.
• Experience with eBilling platforms such as CounselLink, T360, Legal X, Legal Tracker, or similar systems.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while also being a supportive team player.
• Clear, professional communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
