Building Inspector (Regulatory & Economic Resources)

Job ID: 101036 - Possess two years of field experience in the HVHZ. Completing an eight-hour HVHZ training course approved by the BORA may substitute for the required HVHZ experience. Plus, meet one of the following requirements: (1) Five years of construction experience in a supervisory capacity AND either a. Current GC license issued by Florida CILB, OR b. Current GC license and a current Certificate of Competency issued by the MDC CTQB; OR (2) Two years of construction experience and a. Associate of Science Degree in Building Code Enforcement OR

b. Construction-related curriculum awarded for completion of an educational course accepted by BORA & a current GC license issued by the Florida CILB, OR c. Current GC Certificate of Competency or Certificate of Eligibility issued by the MDC CTQB; OR (3) A current registration from the State of Florida as a Registered Architect or Professional Engineer and building construction experience; OR (4) Five years of experience in the construction industry and certification as a Building Inspector (Commercial Roofing) in MDC & holding a current Certificate of Competency or a Certificate of Eligibility from the MDC CTQB or the Florida CILB as a General Contractor. Must possess a Driver s License.
