A successful company that manufactures Fine Products. Makers of the world's finest Hair Care, Sunless Tanning, Sports Nutrition, and PPE products for over 30 years are looking to hire a Purchasing Specialist. The position is based IN OFFICE M-F in Ft. Lauderdale. Must live within a 20-25 mile radius from the office. $55K + End of the year bonus
Purchasing Specialist is to work closely with management to execute existing strategic strategies for the organization by using proven supply chain methods while holding our vendors accountable by ensuring they are providing materials at the best cost, shortest lead time and the best quality with on time in full delivery on the promise dates provided.

Create purchase orders for raw materials, components, labels and MRO (as necessary)
Follow up with vendors for accurate tracking information and delivery dates to ensure lead times align with sales order completion
Identify and qualify vendors as reliable sources for the materials required
Communicate to the management and sales team of any delivery delays and propose suggestions on how to mitigate any delaysEstablish vendor accountability by ensuring the vendor is providing materials at the best cost, shortest lead times and on time in full delivery
Continuous reduction in cycle times between purchase orders and delivery
Develop, plan, and execute long term cost savings initiatives for the organization by using proven supply chain strategies
Inventory analysis of excess and aged components
Build and maintain vendor relationships
Maintain and update costs for all purchases
Establish inventory/non-inventory part numbers and entry into the ERP
Work with accounting to correct any discrepancies with order releases, invoices, packaging lists
Utilize web-based logistics software to schedule incoming shipments.
Propose improvements to the current purchasing system that will improve vendor relationships and lowering costs
Job Requirements:
At least 3 years of relevant Purchasing/Procurement experience in Consumer Goods
Proficiency with the MS Office suite including Excel, Outlook, Word
Experience with SAGE100 or a comparable ERP system is a plus
Strong communication skills
College degree required
Organizational skills and attention to detail
